Johan has been organizing bodybuilding shows in the Southern Cape since 2008 with the inception of the George-Kem Classic which ran for 5 years and thereafter the show was moved to the Garden Route Casino in Mosselbay for the last 5 years under the banner of The Garden Route Casino Classic with the addition of an extra novice show the last 2 years under the banner of The Destiny Classic .

These shows act as a platform for the development of the sport in the Garden Route the last 10years and also serves the purpose of enticing more established athletes from as far as East London , Port Elizabeth , Cape Town and Bloemfontein to compete locally and add to the unique experience and atmosphere of the shows.
